Aliens Unleashed: My Animated Aliens Fan Film

I didn’t plan this, but in the spirit of the new Alien movie, I have finished my animated fan film Aliens Unleashed. I have worked on it all by myself for over a year with only the help of my cast for the characters using XNALara models and animating them in Blender and getting public domain songs and sound effects from YouTube and other places. It is finally done and I’m glad. And there are more fan films to come. My Friday the 13th reboot will be my next project, and then I will return to Aliens with my sequel to Unleashed, Aliens Apocalypse

After the events of Aliens (retconning Alien3 and Alien Resurrection) Newt and Hicks returned to Earth to find Ripley has disappeared and the company denied everything. 30 years later, Newt and Hicks have moved to a new colony to move on with their lives. Only to discover that Weyland-Yutani has dug up the Derelict ship and harvested the eggs breeding lots of Aliens in a secret lab near the colony. The Aliens have been unleashed and it’s up to Newt to lead the colonists to safety or they will suffer the fate of LV-426.

Hope you enjoy.

Alien Covenant Discussion SPOILERS AHEAD

I saw Alien Covenant yesterday. It was great, I loved it a lot, Michael Fassbender was great as always, Katherine Waterson was a good lead, I knew her before she was famous when I saw her in the independent film Enter Nowhere with Scott Eastwood and Sara Paxton, Danny McBride was awesome too, did a really great job doing a drama instead of comedy. I can’t wait for the next one, though I feel Scott is going a little overkill making probably too many than we need to lead into Alien, not to mention that his Alien movies have been underperforming at the box office, so I hope he can lead into Alien before they run out of money. Not to mention, I’m disappointed that so far, it seems like Blomkamp’s Alien 3.5 won’t get off the ground. I was looking forward to that because it was gonna retcon Alien3Alien Resurrection and bring back my favorite characters and go forward instead of backwards. But I have so many things I wanna run by you guys.

SPOILERS AHEAD

First of all, I had heard that Scott had originally intended to make more on the Engineers, but after Prometheus met negative results because of lack of Alien, he decided to focus all on Alien. But, couldn’t he have done both? Focus on Alien while explaining more about the Engineers. For example, will we ever learn why the Engineers created us and then eventually tried to kill us?

I’m a little iffy about them killing off Shaw, I’m kinda wondering if I can like this movie and not look like a hypocrite because it killed off a character in the next movie just like Alien3, which I hate like poison because of that. On the subject, if David loved Shaw so much, why did he do that to her? Maybe there could be a prologue in the next scene where we actually see what happened right after David wiped out the Engineers.

We now know that David created the Xenomorphs, so we’re assuming that his creation will end up on that the Engineer/Derelict ship in Alien, so how do we get from Covenant to Alien? Did David only kill the Engineers on that one planet and there are more Engineer colonized worlds, maybe ones who will seek vengeance on David for attacking them and David will commandeer one of their ships again which will lead into Alien?

Overall I loved it, it wasn’t as frustrating as Prometheus and I feel Alien has returned. I just hope Scott can wrap this up before the money runs out, if there’s one thing I hate more is an unfinished story.

Universal Monster Shared Universe and How it Could “Possibly” Work

Lately I had been thinking about this Universal Monster Shared Universe. I thought the whole thing was ridiculous and that it couldn’t work because they’re not superheroes and stuff like that. But I thought of an idea of how it could work.

A long time ago they were talking about a Van Helsing reboot with Tom Cruise as the main character. Maybe this with Tom Cruise in The Mummy is a recycled version of that. Maybe Tom Cruise if Van Helsing and he’s gonna take on each of these monsters, The Mummy, Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Invisible Man, The Bride of Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the Wolf Man, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and then in the big crossover he has to take on all of them. Or, maybe instead of Tom Cruise in all of them, maybe the main characters for each movie, including Tom Cruise will team up in the last story to take on the monsters they vanquished for the final showdown.

That’s how I see the only way of it working, that’s the way I see it. Let’s see how this pans out. I still think this thing might not work out, but I can see two ways of how it could work. All I can say is, “To a new world, of Gods and Monsters.”

Bold Friday the 13th Reboot Idea

Currently, I have been working on my own animated Friday the 13th reboot and I love what I’m coming up with, but I actually came up with another idea that I kinda wish to do, but I’m also glad I didn’t do it because it’s pretty bold and I like my current idea more. I conceived it as an idea for a Friday the 13th TV series, season 1 anyway. This is the idea:

Okay, we tell the story in modern times where some young horny teens are trying to reopen Camp Crystal Lake. They’re trying to get the place in shape, happy go lucky kids free from adult supervision having sex, drinking beer, and getting high. But the camp has a dark history, 10 years ago a child named Jason Voorhees drowned while the counselors were having sex. A year later, those counselors were murdered and the killer never apprehended. An urban legend grew that it was the ghost of Jason Voohrees who took his revenge for his drowning. The boy was deformed so he wore a hockey mask to hide his ugliness. So while the kids are having fun, a hockey masked killer is picking them off one by one.

But here’s the twist, when the hockey mask comes off we find out it’s not Jason, it’s actually a young woman, one of the counselors. This would be a whodunnit and it would be surprise that someone was trying to make it look like Jason rose from the grave. But why did she do it? Because who she really is, is Pamela Voorhees. See in this story, Pamela Voorhees wouldn’t be an old woman and not even married. In this story, Pamela had Jason when she was 14 and Jason drowned when he was 8 years old and Pamela was 22. 10 years later in our present time, she infiltrated the camp to keep it closed so no child would drown like her little Jason. Doing it this way is that people could still see a hockey masked killer, Pamela would be the killer, and it would be an homage to the series but done in a way where it wouldn’t be obvious. Like, if we saw an old woman in the story you’d be like “oh, she must be Mrs. Voorhees.”

The only problem with this idea is that it might be similar to Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning. I mean, I liked that it was a whodunnit, but I hated it because the characters were so bad that you wanted them to die and because it was so badly written. Again, this idea is pretty bold because from what I understand, people hated Part 5 because Jason wasn’t the killer. Again, people like to see Jason, and for some reason people don’t want a Friday the 13th movie without him.

What do you think? Do you think it could work?
